True to the hype, we found some pieces that were really soft, and that featured gorgeous lace details.
We couldn’t use the item for significantly long periods in order to give any objective statement about its durability (that is, whether the item will stand the test of time). So we went to the online customers’ reviews platforms to find what customers are saying about the durability of Adore Me items. It’s safe to say that Adore Me hold some quality pieces.
You’ll find reviews like: “Bras and Panties fit perfectly”, “material is so soft” etc. It’s not likely to have only raving reviews; so it we were not surprised that there were some negative reviews about product quality. These included complaints such as scratchy lace, and underwire punching through the channeling.

There are other offers offered by Adore Me, which includes a $15 referral commission. When you invite friends to Adore Me, for each friend that makes a purchase, the store rewards you by waiving $15 off your next purchase.
An online transaction will not ends until you have receive the item; and being satisfied with it, you are willing to keep and use it. Thus, there are important elements of the shipping policy of online shop that must be considered such as shipping destinations, shipping cost and shipping times.
You’ll not want to see a gorgeous lingerie piece on a website only to find out that you’ll not be able to order it because the store does not ship to your location. Thus, the ideal online store will ship to many locations across the globe.
Adore Me does not do very well in this regard because they serve very limited territories. Adore Me ships to only locations in the US, and in Canada, Australia, and the UK. This would mean that persons from most of the world will be unable to use Adore for their lingerie shopping. We’ll like to see Adore Me expand their coverage to include other countries.
Shipping cost adds to the total spend on any item; thus, when shipping costs are too high, though the items may be acceptably priced, the total expenditure can easily become unacceptable. As a result, the ideal online shop will have shipping costs that are as low as possible.
In terms of shipping times; you won’t want to wait forever to receive delivery of your order. Thus, the ideal online shop will offer fast and reliable delivery.
Being that Adore Me is a US based company, there are a couple of delivery options available for US orders; and the chosen option determines how long it’ll take to receive your order as well as how much you’ll pay for the shipping. The first is a Standard Shipping option which takes 3 – 5 business days, and it is free.
The others are accelerated delivery options: there’s a “Three day Select” which cost $9.95, a “Second Day Air” option which cost $12.95, and a “Next Day Air” option which cost $19.95. Their delivery times are suggested by their names: the three day select will deliver the package at most three days after the date of order placement; the second day Air will deliver the package at most two days after the date of order placement; and the Next Day Air option will deliver the package the day following date of order placement.
For the international orders, whether travelling to Canada, Australia or the UK, all international orders takes 5 – 10 business days to be delivered. However, Orders travelling to Canada cost $5.95, while orders travelling to Australia and the UK cost $6.95.
It should be said that the shipping times advertised are just transit times and are not inclusive of order processing time, which is 1 – 2 days. That is, after receiving your order, Adore Me takes 1 – 2 business days to process the order before dispatching it to the carrier; and only after the carrier has received the package will the transit time start counting.
Generally, processing time apply only to the standard delivery option. The accelerated delivery orders are given special attention and processed swiftly such that the processing time will not impact on the quoted delivery time. Thus, while factoring in the order processing time will stretch the estimated standard delivery time from 3 – 5 days to about 4 – 7 days; it shouldn’t affect a Next Day delivery order, and you should still expect to receive a Next Day order a day following order placement.
Looking at their shipping costs, you’ll find that Adore Me offers the lowest shipping cost possible (which is free shipping). Interestingly, it applies to all orders. That is; you don’t have to spend up to a particular amount to qualify for free shipping.
No matter you order, you’ll get free standard shipping. The only bump is that the free standard shipping applies to only domestic US orders. We’ll like to see free to see free shipping apply to all locations that a store ships to. It’ also good that where free shipping does not apply, Adore Me offers flat shipping rates, so what you pay for shipping will not increase with an increase in your order size or weight. Lastly, the shipping rates themselves are relatively okay.
Looking at their shipping Times you’ll find that Adore Me advertises relatively fine order processing time (1 – 2 days) and transit times (3 – 5 days for US orders, and 5 -10 days for all other others). This would mean that Adore Me will process you order quickly, and their carriers will also do a good job of getting it to your quickly. If Adore Me lives up to these advertised times, they’ll tick every box that has to do with fast delivery.
However, in our experience, Adore Me did not live up their delivery promise, as our order came 3 days later than expected. While late deliveries are by no means okay, we can live with lateness of 1 – 3 days, so we didn’t rush to say Adore Me is plagued by late deliveries on that account. Once again we went to the independent customers’ reviews platforms to find other customers’ experiences; and there, we found just too many complaints of late deliveries.
We also saw that in some of the cases, Adore Me tried to blame the lateness on their carrier or international customs, but in most cases, they were found out. For example, lateness cannot be attributed to the carrier or customs when the order is found to still processing and has not been dispatched to the carrier.
If Adore Me insists that such orders have been dispatched; it means their order tracking system (and by extension the whole ordering process) is flawed for the order status to still be reading “processing”.
That said, Adore Me may have a small problem with late deliveries. We’ll suggest that you should place your Adore Me orders well ahead of time, so that you’ll not be kept waiting and sighing.
Where you do not get to physically assess and try a clothing piece before completing the purchase, the possibility exist that you won’t be satisfied with the piece when you finally assess and try it. The possibility even exists that the store will send you a wrong or damaged piece.
Therefore, you’ll want a store that allows you to return to them items in your order that you are not totally satisfied with. Thankfully, Adore Me allows returns. However, there are many things to consider in their returns policy.
Stores only accept returned items if the returns is made within a time period; you’ll not want that returns window to be short so that you’ll not have to race against the calendar to get your returns to the store on time.
Adore Me gives a returns window of 30 days, which means your returned items must get to the store within 30 days of receiving the order. This is a generous window, and is on par with the offer of most of the other stores in the business.
True some stores make the returns process arduous, so that customers will be forced to return less. However, it’s actually most costly for the store because of loss of future sales. This is because when a difficult returns process forces you to keep an item you’ll rather not keep, you won’t be returning to the store for another purchase. Thus, the ideal store should give an easy returns process.
In Adore Me, the process is fairly easy. You’ll visit the site to complete a “Returns and Exchange form”, and print a pre-paid Return Label. Then you’ll package the items you wish to return using the original packaging, and affix the returns label to the package; after which you may arrange a pickup, or drop the return package off in your mail box or at a post office.
This might be nitpicking, but the simplest process will be enclosing a Returns Label in your original package; that will cut off the “hassle” of printing the label.
Generally, not all returned items are accepted. Because items returned will usually be put back on sale, Adore Me only accepts items that are in their new and unworn conditions. Understandably, for health reasons, they do not accept panties and swimwear that have the adhesive strip broken/ removed. Also, they will not accept items that do not have their tags intact. Also, all items marked “final sales” cannot be returned for a refund.
It should be said that though not clearly stated in their website, Adore Me will reject returned items that are “dirty”, and that includes not only stains but also smell of perfume, tobacco, etc.
Sometimes you want to return an item and simply get another in its place. An exchange makes it possible to get the new item faster, because you’ll not have to wait to receive your refund before placing order for the new item. Thus, you’ll want a store that allows exchanges.
Adore Me allows exchanges but for similar products of different color or size. Interestingly, Adore Me allows returns of final sales items for exchanges. So where returns of final sales items should not be accepted, Adore Me will accept them if you’ll simply be getting another item as an exchange.
You also don’t want to be forced to keep an item you’ll rather return to the store because returns are cost-prohibitive. Thus, you’ll want a store where returns are free or attract charges that are as low as possible.
Adore Me does well in the regard. The store offers free returns; that is they bear the cost of returns shipping. This means that they won’t charge you for using their return label. However, they charge a restocking fee of $5.95 for each lingerie set (or other item) you return for a full refund.
The fee can be waived when the returns is for an exchange or for store credits. Thus, while the store will make a “free returns” shout, it only means that they do not charge for returns inbound shipping; it does not mean that it will not cost you to return an item to the store. The restocking fee most certainly means that returns will cost you.
It’s disappointing to have to return an item to a store; but it can even become frustrating where you have to wait forever to receive a refund. After receiving the returned item, the store will not immediately issue you a refund, but will first check the item to determine if it meets the relevant conditions. You don’t want the returns/ refund processing time to be too long else you’ll wait forever for your refund.
Adore Me says you should allow 30 days for them to process your request upon receipt of your returned item. They chalk the long time on the quality inspections that their team has to make on the returned item. However, in our opinion, 30 days (and that’ll be 30 business days) after receipt is too much for whatever processing. It should be remembered that after they process the refund and issue it to your bank; you’ll still allow some time for your bank to reflect the funds in your account.
Little wonder in the customer reviews, a bulk of the negative reviews was dissatisfaction with the waiting time for refunds. Where we already feel that 30 days is too much, the reviews even had some customers who had to wait for significantly longer; and it is not just idle waiting, but waiting and being on the back of the customer support team with emails and calls.
We’ll like to see Adore Me move swiftly to considerably reduce their returns processing time, and ensure that refunds are swiftly issued.
Knowing Murphy’s law (anything that will go wrong, will go wrong), you should expect that there’ll always be issues in a store no matter how effectively it is run. Thus, the ideal store will make provisions for addressing customers’ concerns (questions or issues).
The first stop for finding answers is an FAQ page; and Adore Me provides such. You’ll find that their FAQ hold articles that’ll clarify a lot of things, especially with the VIP membership, shipping, returns and exchanges, and more.
If you’ll rather talk directly with a support agent, Adore Me offers the full suite of contact support, which is the trifecta of email support, live chat, and telephone support. You can send them a mail using a contact form that can be assessed on their website.
Alternatively you may send the mail from your email address using help@adoreme.com. Whatever method you use, you’ll get your response in your email inbox. Interestingly, Adore Me says that they do their best to reply email submissions within 6 business hours. This will make them a speedster in customer service responsiveness.
For instant feedback, you may use the telephone service or live chat. Adore Me customer Support service is active only between 8:30am – 8:30pm (EST), Monday to Sundays. You’ll most definitely find an agent online in that time period. For the telephone service, the number to use is +1 (800) 433 2367. Interestingly, the service is available for calling and for text messaging. Adore Me says that if you send a text, you’ll get a text reply within a minute.
First, we liked that Adore Me provide different options for directly contacting their customer support persons. However, we didn’t like that the support service is not 24/ 7. Being that the store serves markets in different time zone, we’ll like a round-the-clock service so that there’ll be no problem of the service being active only in the downtime of another time zone.
The responsiveness of the service is also relatively good. While some stores will go deaf when you try to contact them or wait for long periods before responding, Adore Me actually responds quickly. Their advertised 6 minutes email response time may be the cherries, but they do respond well within an hour.
Granted, there are many negative reviews of the customer support service but these were not of poor response time, but of unhelpfulness of the service. Again, you can say it doesn’t matter that response comes quickly if it is unhelpful.
We agree that the most important stick for measuring a support service is helpfulness, and the many customers’ reviews of Adore Me suggest that they need to put their art together in this regard. In almost all of the reviews of the 86% of customers that gave Adore Me a “bad” rating on Trust Pilot you’ll find poor customer service mentioned. Specific issues included: customer agents refusing requests to talk to a superior, customer agents seeming to not have a clue about particular issues, customer service misleading, and more.
There were just too many customer service issues that came out as a theme rather than the exception. Thus, you should hope to not have issues when using Adore Me; the experiences show that if you do, their customer support service won’t make you any happier.

Oddly enough, my AdoreMe app fails to work the first week or so of every month saying it’s “offline” and can’t connect to the internet. Ultimately I forgot to skip, get charged the membership fee and magically it starts to work again. I then request a refund which takes a few days, but it honestly leaves me wondering if the app is intentionally down?

I have written several reviews based upon no delivery and no customer service. Bottom line, they are a deceitful company (promised Valentine Day delivery and still no delivery) and have not responded to any emails from me. Very poor customer service. Very disappointed and will stick with Victoria's Secret from now on.
The most glaring problem for me is that I don't want to receive an item of intimate apparel which has been "tried on" and returned by a previous customer. I want new items ... particularly the panties.
this is nonsense. Adore Me was fined by the FTC for fraudulent practices. When you buy anything from them, they automatically charge your debit or bank account every month claiming it is a credit you can use in the future. You have to be very very careful to select an option that prevents them because it is automatically selected for you. My wife just found this out and complained to them.
