For example, with order processing taking 1 – 3 business days and the fastest shipping option taking 5 – 8 business days, it means that a US customer will expect delivery in 6 – 11 business days (even after paying the premium for shipping).
The total spend on any online purchase consists not only of the item’s purchase price but also its shipping cost. Thus, shipping costs can easily make an item too expensive to purchase, even if the item itself is reasonably priced. When returning unwanted items to any store, only items that get back to the store within a specified time period are accepted. You’ll want that period to be relatively long so that your returned items will not run the risk of getting back to the store late.
NewChic offers a return window of 14 days from the delivery date. This means that any item that you are not satisfied with and will want to return must get back to the store’s warehouse at most 14 days from the date it was delivered to you.
This is one part of the return policy of NewChic that does not make for happy reading. Many fashion stores in the industry offer a return window of 30 days from delivery date; which makes the 14 days offer of NewChic even less than half of the industry average.
You’ll want to be able to return any item that you do not like to its retailer. However, not every item is eligible for returns. In our lovely chic store, the items that cannot be returned include Earrings, Lingerie, Underwear, and Swimwear.
Granted, every serious online store will have a restriction on the returns of these items for hygiene reasons. However, some stores tend to be friendlier than others. For example, some stores will allow you to return these items if the hygiene strip is not broken. But in NewChic, the returns of these items are a no-no.
Also, all items eligible for return must be in the same condition they were when delivered; they must be unworn, unwashed, undamaged, and unaltered.
You don’t want the high cost of returns to dissuade you from returning an item to a retailer if you are anything but satisfied with it. Thus, you’ll want the lowest return cost, which is “free returns”. Unfortunately, NewChic does not offer free returns. Customers are responsible for charges when returning NewChic’s orders.
NewChic will only assume return cost when the reason for the returns is a mistake on the part of the company, such as sending a wrong item, or an item with clear quality deficiencies.
After returning items to a store, you’ll want to get your refunds as soon as possible. NewChic says that you should wait for 2 – 3 weeks after mailing your returns package for the returns to be processed. 2 – 3 weeks from the date the return package is shipped is inclusive of shipping time. This means that NewChic is advertising a relatively okay refunds processing time. However, as we’ll see, many customers’ reviews show that refunds are not received as fast as NewChic will make-belief.
You must ask one or two questions, which should be answered satisfactorily before you’ll commit to using any online store. Also, Murphy’s Law that “anything that can go wrong will go wrong” is so true that you cannot always expect a problem-free purchase journey no matter how hard the store tries. So, for those times when there is an issue with your order, you’ll want a quick resolution. One complaint about NewChic is that it takes forever to get your orders. It’s been mentioned that the advertised delivery times of NewChic are relatively long. Unfortunately, most often than not, the delivery of NewChic is late many times over. Customer reviews in the independent platform have customers waiting several weeks, some even up to two months, to receive their orders.

It comes out as a legit online store, but with serious quality challenges. Buying from NewChic is a shooting affair, where you can easily hit or miss the target. If you hit the target, you’ll receive quality deliveries you’ll love, but if you miss, you’ll receive poor quality deliverables that will have your screaming “scam”.
The biggest complaint you’ll find about NewChic has to do with returns. In fact, everything about the company’s return policy has irked customers from the return approval process, to return window, to return cost, to return processing and refunds.
On the return approval, it’s been mentioned that NewChic must grant approval before any item can be returned. However, it appears that NewChic will rather not grant approval so that customers cannot make returns. For example:
On the return Window, it’s been mentioned that NewChic’s 14 days return window is relatively short. This is even made worse by the fact that you’ll be returning the item to its warehouse in China. It’ll be annoying if you consider that the retailer in your backyard allows 30 days for returns, while NewChic only gives you 14 days to return items all the way to China (that’s assuming you’re far from China). Needless to say, this can easily make “returns to NewChic” useless because items that get to them late will be rejected.
On the return cost, it’s been said that in NewChic, customers bear return costs, except when the reason for the return is clearly a fault of “our lovely chic store”. The problem is that because the return package will be shipping to China, postage cost can easily be prohibitive. This can be seen from the following customer’s complaints:

It’s understandable that after getting approval to return an unwanted item (which does not always come easy), and after paying return shipping (which are usually very high), and beating the relatively short return window (which can easily rope you in), it will be frustrating to have to wait endlessly to be refunded. Unfortunately, that is what many customers’ reviews suggest.
Now you see why you’ll see the dreaded “scam” word in many contexts of NewChic. In our opinion, quality issues alone do not necessarily earn a store the scam label, especially when customers can easily return unwanted items and get back their money. However, when return issues add to quality issues, the scam label is easily thrown; and that is what has been the case with NewChic.

This means that it did or is doing some things right. In fact, it is. The online store advertises that it provides high-quality trendy styles at the best prices.
It does excellently on providing trendy styles. Its product range and selection within each product is huge. You’ll find everything fashions for everyone in the family (male, female, young, old, etc), including tops, bottoms, dresses, shoes, bags, accessories, and beauty products. While you’ll find no shortage of fashion items, you’ll also find that it also holds a large selection of home items.
On the pricing; NewChic also lives up to its promise. It offers very competitive prices; that many of the items you’ll find in the store will appear as “steals of the century”. Also, you can buy NewChic from virtually every part of the world, and free shipping is available in many parts.
However, NewChic is not without a dark cloud. While you’ll find trends, you may also find some items to fall short of quality expectations. Thus, you’ll be taking a risk when buying from NewChic, you can get the wow quality, but you can easily frown and curse after opening the package.
Delivery is also known to take longer than expected. But the worst yet is the return policy of NewChic. You have only 14 days from delivery date (which is relatively short) to return an unwanted item, and you’ll be paying high shipping fees to ship the return package to China; and on that, getting refunded does not seem to be an easy ride.

I agreed to an order of US$339.19 on 2020-10-22 at 19:09:22. This payment was done through Paypal and showed success.
Within minutes the order was canceled (I wasn't aware yet, obviously) and it noted the stock was out. According to my multiple communications with NewChic they have now first said that they were unable to take the money as there was an issue from my side, but have now more recently actually noted they were restocking. This is only one of the lies, by the way.
6 minutes! after this order was canceled, they were apparently able to restock the virtual store shelves and without me putting through the amount and agreed to it, they placed exactly the same order at now took US$372.79.
I've been blamed for this too, by the way, saying I didn't apply the 15% coupon the second time. But I did not actually place the second order. I was in no way aware of the issue. Furthermore, if items are out of stock, you don't exactly place exactly the same stock order 6 minutes later.
So initially they said the issue was with the bank and the funds weren't available. Then they finally said it was because there was no stock (a screenshot shows it said because of stock from the beginning). Then they say it was the stock but I was apparently notified and must have replaced the order 6 minutes later (even knowing there isn't stock) and this time I did not apply the 15% coupon and now the amount is higher. So blaming me again.
Just to show this additional lie. My initial approved amount was $339.19. And now they have taken US$372.79. If it was me... again, then had I applied a 15% coupon to the exact same order and it had originally been US$372.79, then I would actually have only paid $316.87 initially.
So let's go a step further. The day after I actually placed the order, received the email, and then went to the new account (I've never ordered from them) and saw this fraudulent behavior, I tried to communicate to NewChic... but then there systems were being updated, or were under some sort of review. I was able to see everything, I could have buy products, but they could do nothing assist.
So when I'm finally able to get assistance, they now say the stock has been shipped and I should just accept it and then I can sort things out and send it back ... per their requirements, by paying for the shipping.
So this is the scam, right? They somehow were able to, within that 6 minute window, access my payments at paypal and take more money (there is probably a lovely little loophole here), and then when I noted the issue and before anything had been shipped, there system was offline (not for anyone who wanted to give them more money, of course), and now when I got information, the response went from:
1. It was your banks fault
2. Yes it was restocked but they could restock in 6 minutes
4. Oh no - I agreed to secondorder but I didn't apply the coupon to the same order (although this 15% coupon would have meant order was less)
5. Now saying it isn't really 15% coupon, it is up to 15%
And the lies will carry on. But this isn't acceptable. This isn't even about the order being wrong, or that I don't like the products. This is that even before I was able to do anything, this company stole from me. And their little chat interactions are just copy and pastes of what seem to be many complaints. They already have the book in hand.
Ordered 3 items on 4/27/20. None has arrived. That should say it all. Two live chats later and the order remains in transit. Had to demand the tracking number and find the delivery company on my own to track the order. On 4/27, delivery was promised in 45 days. Now, I am told I must wait another 45 days. The Chinese must be training monkeys to make the clothes. Or may be no one is making the clothes. A pretty website, chat agents who can actually write in English, but there's nothing behind the New Chic name. They also make shoes. I had ordered 2 pairs. When I did not receive an order confirmation, I inquired and was told the items were out of stock, but New Chic had already charged my card. I immediately sought a refund. Chinese goods are doing well in the U.S. only because American companies are monitoring the QC. Without us, they are nothing. DO NOT BUY FROM MONKEYS!!
I spent 150 euros on items on April 19th and am still waiting for part of my order. Impossible to get in touch with them, I am French and they don't have French representatives trying to help you solve your problem.
I spent $300 for Chrismas gifts thinking I could get chic items DECENT NOT GREAT prices. But in the end no tracking info.when asked they had split my order and said shoes were out of stock to no one told me.they said no one split order, yet I had one order number for clothes another for shoes, they arbitrarily split it. So I talked to a customer rep over an hour to get refund on two identical shoes I pd for that wasnt going to happen so I exchanged for two pair alike same price.or less, AFTER Christmas, 6 weeks after ordering I got alert for clothes order on its way,, not shoes,, I got clothes without one item wearable, three looked absolutely nothing like the picture I ordered nor any other picture on the site, worse than a goodwill store, or dollar store, a pair of ladies shoes I ordered 6.5 they sent 8 because they didn't have 6.5???!!! I was on the phone over three hours total with really stupid people not even carrying on same communication lines I was- they didn't have the ladies shoes anymore to exchange which didn't matter anyway because I couldn't exchange /refund because PAST 30 DAYS!!!! SEE?? STUPID!! I ENDED up week later with ONE pair of the men's shoes I had called about a month and half earlier about no tracking Info..because out of stock.. Exchanged order for diff style two pair men's shoes paid for,,,he put only one pair so I got one paur..they said I only ordered one pair tho I sent screen shot of original order..whether they didn't understand or act that way, they will not get anyone else on phone that can. Three hours later and two more conversations after they kept sending me messages what part of please wait someone is checking on my order don't I understand I said all of it! Bottom line, my son got a pair of shoes he loves..for the price of two and can't order more,, I had cute pair of $50 slip on sandals I can't wear not anygirls in my famliy.. And brand new UGLY clothes I literally cannot give away,, and I want to throw up Everytime I and others see those articles on facebook all over internet and you say oooooh that's darling,,,, but if I s h owed you the article I received when ordering it you'd think I was a liar...

I ordered several items from newchic company limited on Jan. 5, 2020. The total cost of my order is $59.11. I was not provided with order No. or confirmation number. how will I know or tract my orders?
I placed an order on 4/27/20 and am still waiting for delivery. Perhaps they haven't made the items yet or maybe they hired monkeys to do the sewing. New Chic charged my card without delay. They've got my money but I have no merchandise. This online retailer has a pretty website but is absolutely a scam. Do not do business with monkeys.
