Parship Review: Is Legit or Scam? 2024

Parship is an online dating service that advertises that it is “for serious relationships”. The times have passed when online dating was talked about in hushed tones. Thus, there are so many dating services in cyberspace nowadays. However, many of them are simply a waste of time (and money).

Yes, Parship is legit because they actually provides the service that you paid for with a problem.

The big question is whether Parship is just another time-waster or whether it is what it claims – a place for serious relationships. What makes it different from the other dating services in the market? In the first place, is Parship genuine?

This Parship review will examine Parship and provide the information that will help you answer these questions and more.

Parship Background

Everything about Parship speaks love. The service was launched on lovers’ day – February 14, 2001. One year later, the service has expanded to 13 European countries.

Parship is currently one of the largest dating services in the UK, as well as the whole of Europe. The dating service has over 11 million users in Europe, with about 125,000 of these in the UK alone. The site also reports that it gets about 23,000 new members each week. Thus, Parship boasts a relatively large membership base which ensures that it holds a number of opportunities.

Parship does not just advertise as a dating service but as a serious dating service. The seriousness is that it uses a scientific method to identify and match compatible persons to its users. Since persons matched are like-minded, their connection is more likely to be kicked into a relationship that will lead to long term commitments.

The co-founder of Parship (Hugo Schmale, a Professor of Psychology at the University of Hamburg since 1971) is the man behind the scientific development of the service.

After studying psychology, psychiatry and philosophy, as well as the intricacies of couples and their relationships, for many years, the Prof. developed the Parship’s compatibility matching.

Background – Overview

  • Founded in 2001
  • Has a strong footing in many European countries
  • Has a large membership base of over 11 million in Europe

Who is it for

Parship comes out straight saying that it is for serious relationships. That tells you that the service is designed for persons who are serious about relationships. Thus, it is not for the seekers of flings or casual relationships.

Also, the platform can be used for heterosexual or same-sex relationships. Thus, whether you are straight or gay, you can find love in Parship. When registering, as a man or a woman, you can choose to look for a man or a woman.

Who is it for – Overview

  • Parship is for seekers of serious relationships; not for flings, hookup, or other casual relationships seekers
  • Parship connects singles for heterosexual or same-sex relationships

How it works

The selling point of Parship is its scientifically-based compatibility matching. According to the dating service; everyone is different, so there should be a way to identify that one person that best complements you. However, anyway will not suffice. To that end, Parship has developed and patented a scientific method – the “Parship Principle”.

There are 30 essential personality characteristics that Parship checks in every user. To help with the check, the dating service has a long (about 80 questions) personality questionnaire that is answered during registration. Parship crosses the answers to these questions with its personality characteristics and is able to give each user a personality rating.

The overall personality rating will cover:

  • Fundamentals of your personality – such as the perspective from which you see the world (whether instinct, feeling, or head); your balance of passion and conscience; your desire for relational intimacy; and more
  • How you behave in a relationship – such as: how you process experiences (introversion or extraversion); how you approach people (desire or inhibition for social interaction); willingness to adapt; how practical you are; and more
  • Your everyday life – such as the desire for a regulated pattern of life; desire for domesticity; whether you are conventional or unconventional; and more
  • Growing Up – How the way you behaved as a child influences you now; and more

Having the personality score of every user, Parship can then compare users, and match users that have high compatibility score. Thus, Parship makes it easy to find someone who is right for you.

How it works – overview

  • Every member answers a personality questionnaire
  • The test is used to determine your personality
  • Personality attributes are compared to identifying areas potential partners compare or differ

Using Parship

Using Parship is relatively simple. The landing page of the Parship website that finding love with the dating service is a simple process that involves: signing up, taking the personality test, finding compatible partners, and getting to know them.

Using Parship to find love

Signing Up

There are two ways to get started with Parship. You can register with your email address, or you can sign up with Facebook. When going through the first route; supply your sex and the sex of the partner you are looking for in the registration section of the Parship website; the section expands opening fields where you are to supply your email address and password. Then hit “Register now for free”. There is no verification of the email account supplied. The email is accepted, and you’ll proceed to the step.

The next step is to answer the much acclaimed “Parship Principle®” scientific personality questionnaire, which will record your individual partnership personality and form the basis for suggesting matching partners to you.

The questionnaire will take about 20 minutes to answer. The first part of the personality test will help get an overview of what you like in a partner and why you need a relationship. Questions, you’ll answer include: what the main reasons for wanting a relationship are, the factors that are most likely to interest you in a partner, how you react to lovesickness, how you feel about sexual fidelity in a relationship, and more.

The second part of the personality questionnaire will highlight your preferences and interests. It is especially this part that the matching algorithm of Parship uses in sending you to match suggestions of persons that are best suited for you. You’ll answer questions like: what things do people who know you will most probably think about you; how you spend your leisure; whether you enjoy cooking; what holidays you enjoy most. We were shocked when we saw: “Do you sleep with the windows open?”.

If that “window question” was shocking, the whole third part of the personality questionnaire was even more shocking. You’ll be shown photos of two different patterns and be asked to pick the pattern that most appeal to you.

We couldn’t quite understand how the patterns revealed our personality. Maybe that’s because we are not the professors of Psychology

Following the “weird patterns” part was a part that asked questions of your everyday habits and views. You’ll answer questions about: whether you easily get enthusiastic about things; how you prefer to dress; what you will do if someone you are close to does something that upsets you; how you will react if someone contradicts you when you know you are right; whether it is the lyrics, rhythm, or melody that will make you like a song; and more. You’ll also see some pictures (although not these weird patterns in the previous part), and you’ll be asked to select what title is the best fitting.

Then there is a concluding part, which the service says will help it get the best possible selection of partner suggestions. Some of the questions here are: whether you are at ease with your physical appearance; and what values are most important in your life. That ends the personality test.

The personality test does not make for the quick registration that most users of dating sites will want. Admittedly, it’s lengthy; and the 20 minutes or so that you’ll devote to it has to be some quiet times. However, to every question, you only have to choose from a list of pre-written answers; so its relatively easy to complete.

You’ll notice that no user personal data was supplied prior to the personality test. Thus, after completing the questionnaire, the profile creation kicks in. The next section that opens a request for basic user information such as: names (first name and surname), date of birth, occupation, height, relationship status (single, separated, divorced, or widowed), education level, income level, and postal code.

The next step is to upload a photo. However, photos are not compulsory, so you may choose to continue profile creation without uploading any photo. Then you’ll have to choose at least two questions from a list of about 20 to answer for your profile. Then you’ll have to give a personal introduction of yourself. It is where you can write something about yourself, your personality and your desired partner. After, writing and submitting the personal introduction, your profile is created and posted to the platform. It is then that you can start using the website.

Getting Started – Overview

  • Register using email or Facebook
  • Email account used for registration is not verified
  • Registration involves answering a lengthy personality questionnaire

Profile Quality

When looking for love in an online dating service, it is the profiles of other users that you’ll look at to know who you may be interested in. Thus, you’ll want the profiles to have enough details, and give quality insight into the individual.

In this regards, Parship passes with flying colours. We’ve reviewed a lot of online dating services, and we can say that the profiles of Parship are the most informative. The profiles are very detailed; and will give you virtually all there is to know about any user you’ll be checking. The different parts of a Parship profile include:

  • Profile Summary – You’ll find a prominent profile photo, and any other photos uploaded by the user. It will also have the user’s occupation, age, time of the last login, and degree of compatibility. In a funny twist from the norm, Parship profiles do not show its users’ name.
  • Fact file – This section is supposed to highlight the user’s basic information; but it does a bit more. Apart from general user information such as location, height, and relationship status (single, divorced, etc); it also includes education level, spoken languages, smoking preference, sports have done and level of participation, number of children, and desire to have children.
  • Personal Quote – The personal introduction written during profile creation is published here in all its glory. Since Parship advice that the personal introduction of yourself should be about your personality; it allows profiles to bring users’ personalities to the fore.
  • Compatibility level – As mentioned earlier, Parship is a compatibility-based matching service. Thus, when you view users’ profiles in Paship, the compatibility level section shows you by how much the user is compatible with you. You’ll see sliding bars that show how compatible you are with the user in personality, habits, and interests.

You can also expand the compatibility section to view how the compatibility ratings are obtained. For example, your personality rating is obtained from “fundamentals of personality”, such as “the perspective from which you see the world”, “your balance of passion and conscience”, “your desire for relational intimacy” and more. You’ll see your ratings on each of those elements, and below your ratings, you’ll see how the user rates. Thus, you can see how the user compares not just on the whole, but on the individual elements that make the whole.

  • About him/ her – The questions from a list of about 20 that you answer during profile creation will be published here. Thus, the “About him/ her” section is a very informative section that tells you a lot about the individual. It is not a description of the user’s appearance, and it is not simply a list of supposed interest or personality traits. Instead, it is answers to situational questions that gives quality insight into the user.

For example, you will not find the user simply listing personality attributes like I am pragmatic, fun to be with, etc. Instead, you’ll find short answers to If I am in a bad mood…; If I am at a loose end I do the following; If you want to cheer me up…; I cannot live without…; I should do this more often…; three things that are important to me are, and more.

From what the user answers that he/ she will do (or how he/ she will react) in the described situation, you can discern the personality, ethics, lifestyle, etc of the user.

  • Leisure and Sports – You’ll find how the user spends his/ her holiday; activities that the user is interested in; sports that he/ she likes or engages in; where he/ she like holidaying; instruments that the user can play; the kind of music that the user likes, and how often he/ she indulge in it; and more.

Profile Quality

  • Very detailed
  • Does not show user’s name, but instead displays the user’s occupation prominently
  • It includes answers to how a user will react in given situations
  • It includes a compatibility rating and a detailed report of the rating

Meeting People

Meeting people in Parship is relatively straight forward. As a user of the platform, Parship will use the result of the personality test to send you suggestions of compatible persons. Alternatively, you can search the user base of the platform yourself for compatible singles.

Like almost every dating service in the market, there is a basic search tool for free users and an advanced tool for paying members. The only difference between the two is that with the advanced search, you can filter profiles using more criteria.

It should be said that the search tool of Parship allows for filtering profiles using a wide range of criteria that include age, height, smoking preference, children, desire to have children, country, income level and education level. You can also filter results according to interests (sports preference, music preference, or travelling/ holidaying preference.

Meeting People – Overview

  • Uses a compatibility-based algorithm to make compatible match suggestions
  • Users can search the member base themselves to get singles
  • The search tool allows for filtering profiles using a wide range of criteria

Making a Connection

When you like what you see in a profile of any user (whether suggested to you by the Parship matching system or obtained from a personal search), letting the person know of your interest is easy-breezy. There are a good number of communication and interaction tools provided by Parship. These tools are:

  • Smile – You can let someone know that you are interested by sending a smile.
  • Fun match – As its name suggests. The fun match is a fun way of getting a conversation started. If you think messaging is too strong to start with, you can simply send a fun match. The fun match entails answering four short questions by choosing an answer from a set of pre-written answers.

Then the set of questions will be sent to the prospective match. However, your answers will not be shown to the person at the time. After the prospective match has answered the questions; you can then compare your answers. The fun in the match is that you’ll set a bet; and after comparing the answers, you can cash in your bet. For example, if we have four hits (that is, if you and the prospective match register the same answers to all four question), I’ll tell about my first kiss.

Some of the other bets that you can set for having a set number of “hits” include: I’ll pay for our first date, I’ll show my photo, I’ll explain how I got my nickname, I’ll invite you for a coffee, I’ll describe my sitting room, and more.

  • Icebreaker – The icebreakers as its name suggests can help to get a conversation started. Thus, they are just as the funmatch; but it uses photos and not questions, and it doesn’t have the “bet” element. You’ll be shown five sets of pictures; and in each set, you’ll choose the photo that appeals to you. The photos will be sent to the profile owner you are sending the icebreaker; and you can look forward to seeing which one he/ she selects as more appealing. IF you have hits, it can be something to discuss.
  • Messages – This is the traditional email messaging. However, your email address is not revealed to other users. Messages will be received to your Parship inbox, and not your regular email inbox.

While the interaction tools (especially the anonymous emailing) provided allow you to fully date, it’s still disappointing that anonymous voice call is not supported. This is because you may want to hear the other person’s voice even before the first date; and at the same time, you may not have reached that stage where you are comfortable with releasing your private telephone number. Thus, an anonymous voice will have been appreciated, so that “matches” can get to call themselves even at that early stage when the trust is not solid enough to warrant releasing personal contact numbers.

Making Connection – Overview

  • Interaction tools other than messaging are provided such as smiles, icebreakers, and funmatch
  • Messaging tool is anonymous
  • Anonymous voice call feature is not available

Ease of Use

Now that we’ve seen what Parship is capable of, the question is whether it is easy to use the dating service. The short answer to that is a definite yes.

The only cause for sighs that users may have is the long registration process. Since this is occasioned by the personality questionnaire; and understanding that the lengthy questionnaire is so that Parship can determine and match to you only persons that are best suited; users may more readily accept the long registration.

The profile creation process may also bring its own sighs. It did for us. After answering all the questions posed during profile creation; we were surprised that after our profile was created, it was only 45% complete. We got suggestions of compatible matches and could search the member base for singles, but when we tried to send an icebreaker we were stopped in our tracks and advised to get the profile to at least 50% profile. We had to revisit the profile and provide even more information. After which everything was easy-breezy.

That said; registration and completing a profile may be trickier than many users will expect. But after that, even with only a 50% completed profile, using the site is relatively easy and straight forward. You’ll find match suggestions in your “My Parship” area. The search tool also easily brings out result using different search criteria. The interaction tools are easily accessible, and you can add profiles to a favourite list so that you can easily look them up at a later time.

Another thing that users may find a bit awkward is that users’ profiles in Parship do not carry a name. It’s a fact that the first thing that people identify with is a name, even if it is a nickname or an alias. Even if you do not know much of the person; after all, it’ll be easier to make reference to someone that you have a name for. However, in Parship, members are known exclusively by a neutral ID Number. Thus, instead of having thoughts of “Janice”, you’ll be having thoughts of “FD382V”. If you ask us, that does not give the best user experience.

Explaining why there are alphanumeric ID numbers instead of names, Parship says that the platform want to give you (its users) control over your anonymity. That is, at all point, it is for you to choose whether you supply another member with further personal details (such as your name and email address). While the commitment to providing total anonymity is admirable; it does not call for the heavy blow on the user experience. Alias, nicknames or usernames could have been supplied; at least prettygirl65, which is clearly not  personal name, is more relatable for the psyche than FD382V.

Parship takes its “anonymity” provision even further by not showing pictures. This is different from the policy of most  fee-based dating services that blur out the profile pix for the free users, and only allow paying users to view photos in other’s profiles. In Parship, all profile photos are blurred out; it is when the profile owner “releases” his/ her pictures to another person that the person can view the released picture. Thus, being a premium (paying) member does not automatically make you able to view other members’ photos. First, the photo has to be released to you, before you can view it. Needless to say, scrolling through profiles and not being able to see the faces is not a good experience (more so, when you are a premium member).

Ease of use

  • The somewhat tricky profile creation process
  • Relatively easy to use, once your profile is at least 50% complete
  • There are no names in the user profile, but ID numbers
  • Photos in other members’ profiles cannot be seen except first released to you

Pricing and Related Policies

Pricing

Where money is involved, customers will want the lowest possible cost. Since that is zero; free services are always appealing. The online dating world is one of the exceptions; as the fee-based dating services are taken more seriously than the free services because the fees charged tend to keep away many fakes. However, there is no customer that will want to throw away money. Thus, even when the fees are welcomed, users will want them to be reasonable.

Parship does have a free plan, that members can use. But this is really limited, and the only way to use the service to ate fully is to subscribe to a paid plan. Parship has three subscription packs – Premium Lite, Premium Classic and Premium Comfort. However, the different packs are all part of one service plan and differ only in the billing period. Thus, every subscriber of Parship will have access to the same features. This is good because a member will not be fee-paying and still be missing out on some special features exclusive to a higher priced service plan.

The Premium Lite is the 3 months subscription pack. It cost £89.70 and works out to £29.90 per month. The Premium Classic is the 6 months subscription pack. It cost £119.40 and works out to £19.90 per month. The Premium Comfort is the 12 months subscription pack. It cost £178.80 and works for £14.90 per month.

It is clear that the longer term subscriptions are better off financially. For example, using the 3 months pack as a reference, the 6 months pack gives a 33.44% cost saving, while the 12 months pack gives a 50.16% cost saving.

Parship does not have a single month subscription pack. Anyways, the serious long-term relationship that Parship sells is not something that is usually found and nurtured to maturity in a month. Thus, its absence is understandable. But it is less so if you consider that Parship does not offer a free trial. Usually, since the free plans are limited, and cannot be used to date fully, the only way to truly test the full features of a dating service and experience all you’ll get as a paying member, is through a full-featured, but time-limited free trial. When free trials are not provided, users will usually go for the shorter commitments; and only when they find the service satisfactory will they go for the longer term commitments. Some dating services (without free trials) even offer very short subscription packs of only a few days to serve these “testing” purposes. However, Parship does not free trials; so you cannot test its premium services free of charge. It also does not offer the very small subscription packs for such “tests”, and worsen the matter by not offering the regular one-month subscription. So if you’ll have to make a relatively long 3 months just to try out Parship’s premium services.

Pricing – Overview

  • Has a free plan, but it is limited
  • Has only one service plan, with three subscription packs – Premium Lite, Premium Classic, and Premium Comfort
  • The smallest subscription pack is 3 months
  • No free trial

Free plan versus Premium plan

When a dating service charge fees, you’ll expect whatever free plan it offers to be limited. So there’s no surprise that the Parship free plan is limited. The question should be how limited it is. In the regard, Parship does well, because its free users can do relatively more than the free users of many other fee-based online dating sites.

As a user of the Parship free plan, you can do the following:

  • Register, complete the personality questionnaire, create a profile being able to upload up to 12
  • Get suggestions for compatible matches
  • View the profiles of the suggested compatible matches (albeit photos are blurred out), and highlight the ones that interest you most
  • Your profile will be available to other members and will be seen by persons suggested to you as compatible matches
  • Send and receive contact requests
  • Send smiles, fun match and icebreakers

This means that the only interaction you can have with other members that you may be interested in (or that may be interested in you) is sending or receiving contact request, and sending or receiving smiles, fun match and icebreakers. Thus, the major limitation is in communication; as there cannot be messaging. If you send a contact request and get contacted, you can neither read the message or respond to it.

Thus, the main carrot of the premium plan is communication. As a premium user, you can contact and communicate with other Parship members on an unlimited basis. You’ll also be able to exchange photos with other members on a targeted basis (which means that the photos have to be released to the particular members, and theirs has to be released to you).

You’ll also be able to open more filters of the scan tool. For example, only premium users can search for singles in their local area, or filter singles using the income level or education level criteria. You’ll also be able to view anyone that checks your profile.

If you’re a Premium Classic or Premium Comfort user, you’ll also get the “Parship’s contact guarantee”. Parship assures members that, depending on subscription pack, they will get a guaranteed number of contacts (that is, members who will respond back when mailed). If the guaranteed number of contacts is not reached by the end of the subscription (which should be at least 6 months), Parship will extend your Parship-membership free of charge for up to six months.

However, it should be said that the Parship guarantee is a “contact guarantee”. This means that there is a particular number of people that are promised that will respond to your mail messages. Only when you do not get that number (despite meeting some conditions such as having a complete profile, uploaded photos, and have reached out to a number of persons) will you be eligible for the 6 months extension.

By contrast, many of the guarantees we find offered by online dating services are “service guarantee”. That is, they promise that you’ll find the “special someone”. This is by far better than a contract guarantee, because one may get the required “contacts” and still not find the “special someone” in any of them.

Free plan versus paid plan – overview

  • The free plan allows does not allow messaging
  • There’s a contact guarantee for Classic and Comfort premium users

Payment Method

You’ll want a system that gives convenient payments, and Parship ticks the box. The dating service accepts payments via PayPal, Bankeinzug, and some of the popular credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, and American Express).

Though this is not a wide range of options, customers will not have any problems or hassles when paying for a Parship pack.

Payment Method Overview

  • Hassle-free payment is guaranteed with a couple of easy payment methods

Is Parship legit?

Parship is legitimate. It is not a scam. When businesses moved online, fraudsters followed suit. As a result, there are many scam platforms in cyberspace masquerading as real businesses (product and service providers). Except you make sure that a service provider is legit before joining, you may be ripped off or worse.

Parship ticks the box in this regards. The first check of legitimacy is legality; because most often than not, the legal companies are legit. In this regards, Parship is part of PE Digital GmbH, which is a duly registered Company in Hamburg (Company reg. no. HRB 77766, VAT Identification number: DE 211 453 331). In the least, this means that Parship is 100% legal.

Another check of legality is physical existence, visibility, and recognition. Thankfully, Parship also ticks the box. First, the Company’s key officials are known – Tim Schiffers, Henning Rönneberg, Marc Schachtel. This is unlike the scam stores whose operators are totally hidden and unknown. Secondly, Parship has its registered office at Speersort 10, 20095 Hamburg, Germany. This is unlike the scam stores who only have a virtual existence and no physical trace whatsoever.

Also, Parship has been featured by the respected publishers and industry watchers; the dating site has received good ratings from the likes of BBC Radio, and Telegraph. Suffice it to say that a scam site cannot receive the good-say of such a reputable institution. To cap it all, the “Parship Principle” which the dating site uses for its scientifically-based compatibility is protected by patent. Suffice it to say that a scam store cannot secure a patent for a scamming model.

However, our ultimate test of legality is “fitness for purpose”. With regards to dating services, it is the effectiveness of the service in successfully connecting singles, and creating a suitable environment for a relationship to bud and grow. Thankfully, Parship also ticks this box. First, there is the Parship “contact guarantee” which assures users that they will have the connections. The big question is whether the connections give birth to serious relationships and more, and the answer is in the success stories of Parship. In the Parship website, you can find a lot of published stories of persons connected by Parship who has gone on to have long-term relationships, marriages, and babies. For those who do not trust such self-published stories, you can also find similar success stories in many independent review platforms.

That said; there is no doubt that Parship is a legit online dating service that will not rip you off. We take this position because, amongst other things, Parship is 100% legal, has industry-wide recognition, and has a rich track record of helping singles find serious long term relationships.

Legitimacy – Overview

  • Part of the 100% legal company PE Digital GmbH
  • Featured by institutions such as BBC and Telegraph
  • Have a patented work – the Parship Principle
  • There are many success stories (both self-published and in independent review platforms)

Is Parship safe?

Parship is safe. Legitimacy is usually not enough in online platforms because a platform that is legit and will not rip you off can sometimes leave you exposed to other scammers if it fails to adequately protect the sensitive information that you share with it. Thus, the ideal online platform should be safe in protecting users’ sensitive data such as personal information and credit card details.

Parship does well in this regards. In terms of security of users’ data; Parship bullishly advertises that “Nothing can happen. Except for fall in love”, which sounds like an assurance that users’ data is safe. To ensure this, Parship uses 128bit SSL encryption. This is the gold standard in the industry for creating a private connection between devices and web servers communicating on the internet. All data is relayed through the channel blocking off eavesdroppers, and the data is encrypted before being transmitted to ensure that it remains safe even if intercepted.

In the dating spheres, another aspect of safety is wedding off of fake and scam profiles, so that the platform will have only genuine love seekers. It is no longer news that many unsuspecting love seekers have been defrauded in online dating services by scammers in the platforms pretending to be members. Parship also does relatively well in this regard. In fact, it is because of this safety concern that Parship anonymizes the service by not showing names, photos or any other personal detail in profiles.

However, in our opinion anonymizing the service does little or nothing in keeping the sharks away. Leaving it to the user to decide when and if any other member should know his/ her name and see his/ her photos are simply pitting the sharks and the other fishes together, and it is only a matter of time before the fish will fall to the wily sharkness. To its credit, Paship says it does ID checks and that all profiles are verified personally by a member of staff. Well, this may be true; our concrete heart does not have much confidence. Why? Email verification is one of the simplest security checks these days, but Parship does not verify emails during registration.

However, Parship has some important features of a safe dating service. For example, it pro-actively advises its members of common online dating safety do’s and don’ts, and it also have easily accessible tools for reporting suspicious profiles.

Safety – overview

  • Uses industry standard 128bit SSL encryption to protect users’ data
  • Anonymize the service in a bid to protect users
  • Claims that profiles are verified personally
  • Offers safety advice (via its blog) and has tools for reporting suspicious profiles

Customer Support Service

An effective customer support service is essential so that customers’ questions and complaints can be effectively handled.

Parship does relatively well in this regards. First, it provides an FAQ page which can be found on its website. The page is interactive and walks you to articles that answer a specific question. For example, when you open the page, you’ll have to choose whether you are a member or not yet a member; choosing “not yet a member”, we were asked whether the category of our enquiry, whether it is about “use of Parship” or “questions about the contract”. Instead of opening up a list of articles for you to search for the one that addresses your concern, the Parship FAQ narrows down the request and serves you articles that specifically answers your question.

However, if you’ll rather have direct contact with a customer support agent of the service. A primary contact method is an online form that is also accessible on the website. You can also send an email to support@parship.co.uk.

We also found a telephone number, but it was not even in the official “contact us” page of the website, but nestled away in the payment pages, so it appears only the premium users are welcomed to call. The phone number is: +49 (0) 40 469 751 34. Since there is an official office, you may also send postal mail to: Speersort 10, 20095 Hamburg, Germany; or send a fax to +49 40 460026160.

Summary

Parship is a legitimate he online dating service that is highly serious about relationships The thrust of the service shows that it is really serious about relationships. This thrust is in using a scientific compatibility-based algorithm to identify that one person that is really right for you.

It does this by making you (as well as all its other members) take a personality test; then your personality profile will be compared with the profiles of other members to produce a personalized list of potentially compatible partners. The principle is: Love is more than just coincidence; so what does it is trying out with like-minded persons, and not just some random persons.

Apart from its very effective compatibility based matching, Parship ticks the right boxes. It has a relatively okay membership base, so you can find a good number of potential partners. And because of its acclaim for being a dating service for serious relationships, it attracts quality members who are equally serious about long term relationships.

Parship is also easy to use, once you go over the lengthy registration and profile creation. There are some simple and fun tools for interacting with members such as smiles, icebreakers, and fun match; while messaging is easy-breezy and anonymized. One thing that might not sit well with everyone is that Parship takes its anonymizing very far by not even displaying names in the profile, and you can only view photos that have been released to you.

You’ll have to open the wallet to use Parship because it is a fee-based service with a free plan that cannot be used for messaging. However, subscription rates are competitive.

German Version of Nigerian Dating Scammers

Easily the worst app that I ever had in my life.

Parship is based on a Fake Profile business model.

Chances of meeting a real person in Parship is almost ZERO.

They charge you ridiculous amounts of money, obviously non-refundable.

Check carefully who owns blog Sites like these.

Parship has taken Dating Scam to another level.

For comparison, a Nigerian Dating Scam is around 1000$.

Parship makes 100 Million € every year.

Just think about that.

German version of NIGERIAN DATING SCAMMERS

FAKE PROFILES BUSINESS

Before you pay for premium membership, many women text you and even share their photos. But you can neither read the texts nor see the photos, because they are blurred. In order to see them, you have to pay a ridiculously expensive premium. The moment you pay, these profiles/texts/photos disappear. You can ask yourselves, as to who might be operating those fake profiles.

Almost ZERO REPLIES:

Once you pay the premium, you can send texts/photos. But you get almost zero replies. When you look closely, you will see that most profiles have RED signs (sometimes clear / sometimes not so obvious), that suggest they might be FAKE. And you have to keep paying.. Or they send you Debt Collection notices.

UNFAIR CONTRACT CANCELLATION POLICY!

Be very careful with signing up for premium. They have made Contract cancellation, a particularly unclear and painful process.

If you are a victim, search "Parship scam" in the internet and you will find a German website with lawyers contacts.

NIGERIAN DATING SCAMMERS comparison:

Parship is very similar to Nigerian Dating Scammers (NDS) with 1 difference.

NDS target a few victims and extract big amounts of money from them.

But Parship has taken that concept to another level. They target many victims and extract smaller amounts of money from each of them (smaller only in comparison to NDS, but big nevertheless).

The sad part is that Parship extracts over 100 Million Euros each year, from unsuspecting & innocent victims. They are here for that money, biiiiiig money. And they don't care if they have to hurt many victims, as long as their pockets are filling up.

They portray it as a serious Dating Platform, and justify the ridiculous price, when Parship is in fact quite the opposite. Too many Fakes and too many non-premium users, very hard to distinguish one from the other. Tinder and other platforms actually have incomparably more real users who respond, and they are for free..

(Tinder also has few fakes, but not as much as Parship)

BEWARE OF FAKE REVIEWS, Ads and OTHER WEBSITES that rate Parship very highly..

Do not be fooled when you see an unbelievable positive review for Parship somewhere. If you look carefully at the reviewer, often you will notice some Red signs.

Be also extremely critical when they say 30% users find their partners, blah blah..

According to this website (at the time of writing 11.03.2021), https://www.kontaktboersen.de/negative-kundenbewertungen-zu-parship-auf-trustpilot/ it is estimated that approximately 10-20% of the Parship Users have premium membership. This means, only 10-20% of Parship users can message each other. Without Premium, the other 80-90% of users could not even contact each other. But Parship says over 30% of their users find their partners in Parship. Ask yourself, how on earth is this mathematically possible.

Btw, Fake numbers Success stories, actually are a great Marketing tool. It's the same when an Ad reads like this, "Millions of users lives changed with our product", before even a single Product was sold. You see? With 100 Million Euros each year, Parship can spend a lot on such Ads. They can say whatever they want in their Ads. It seems, nobody questions that. Well, I fell for such Ads.

My bad, I didn't read the user reviews beforehand. I paid over 1000$ for 6 months. A big lesson learnt!

Last Christmas, I gifted myself some Peace of mind by cancelling my Parship contract, and deleting my profile. Now I've kinda moved on, but occasionally when I think about losing over 1000$ for nothing, it still hurts..

The best I can do now is to help you, dear readers (with my elaborate review)

Buyer beware!

Please stay away from this fraud! Don't let them know your credit card details unless you want to be exposed to plenty of unauthorized charges and the necessity to cancel your bank card. I had better luck on

Seek4Her.com

meeting the lady who is really the woman of my dreams. It didn't take me long time because it's not a scam site and they have only real and interested ladies. I doubt that Parship has any real women at all. Why bother with attracting real women if you can just fill in your site with fake profiles, stolen pictures and make bots do their work of enticing the unsuspecting clients into buying membership? And then you just renew it at a much incresed rate. This is exactly what they do on Parship. This is their nasty business model. Make of it what you will fellows, but I hope my review was helpful!

This is scam, don't use it.

Once you do not want to renew your subscription there is a check box on the site to opt out of automatic reneval.

This they totally ignore and continue sending bills with rude threats.

Avoid this site at all cost!

Very inconsistent quality

My customer experience with Parship in the German speaking part of Switzerland has been very disappointing.

- Whilst I signed up early 2019, my whole profile was deleted in April by safety services (mistake on their part). When I asked for an English personality report, I was informed that it was not possible and no answer was provided about other options. At that stage, I was unimpressed and accepted a free of charge offer to try the service until the end of June.

- From April to June I was able to contact people and everything seemed to work well,

- In July I signed up for 6 months to try the service. My personality report was then emailed again in German. This time I received an answer to my question about the possibility of obtaining an English version. Someone confirmed that it was not an option but mentioned that it could be made available in French on the condition that my profile be deleted, which meant that I would have had to recreate a profile on the French speaking website. Subscription details in the payment confirmation were emailed in German only (detailing that there is a compulsory 3 month cancellation notice which makes you liable if not strictly applied),

- No email reminder was sent by Parship about the upcoming subscription charge at the end of my 6 months subscription. In fact they had tried to charge over 800 CHF on my credit card and only informed me afterwards that the payment had been rejected,

- Subscription details have now been emailed to me in English, at a time when a payment is claimed for a service which I have asked to cancel past January (because I met someone and have no interest in staying on a dating website),

- Customer service emailed me that it is common practice in online trading to extend services for one year. They are now asking me to pay for twice the amount I paid in July, and that is as a special offer for a service which I do not need.

Parship is close to a scamming site

Parship is very close to a scamming site... full of fake profiles, usually of people who left parship. If you're not paying you can't see anything. If you decide to pay you have to be careful as Parship will do an ackwardly strict interpretation of their contract to make you pay more than you would expect. If you ever get auto-renewed be prepared for a hefty fight with helpdesk to get part of your money back.... parship is not worth the money.
